Applying for a change to the Community licence or certificate of authorisation for the carriage of goods by road for hire or reward
Do you have a licence for commercial road haulage or a Community licence? If certain details change, you must notify your competent authority.
You must notify the following changes to the competent authority, which will correct the permit or Community licence and its copies accordingly:
- Change of licence holder
- Change of the managing director
- Change of the transport manager
- Change of registered office
In the event of a change, the date of issue and the period of validity remain unchanged.
If the legal form of your company changes, you must reapply for the permit or joint licence.

- You must notify the transport authority responsible for your place of business of the change.
- If a change to the licence certificate is required, you must submit the licence certificate and its copies
- The licence certificate will be corrected or amended upon proof of the corresponding changes.

- Copy of identity card or passport
- if applicable, copy of proof of professional qualification, e.g:
- Certificate from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) confirming that you have passed the IHK professional qualification examination
- an equivalent recognised final examination
- Proof of at least ten years of managerial activity in a road haulage company
- for employees: Proof of employment (employment contract)
- police clearance certificate for submission to an authority (document type O)
- Information from the central trade register for submission to an authority (document type 9)
- Purpose: "Authorisation for a road haulage company"
- Information from the driving aptitude register
In the event of a change of address
- Details of the new branch
