Bulky waste is bulky waste from private households that does not fit into the residual waste container after shredding.

Prerequisite
Your waste is bulky waste.
You can obtain information about which items you are allowed to dispose of as bulky waste in your city/district from the waste management company responsible for you.
Examples of bulky waste:
- Beds, mattresses, upholstered furniture
- Cupboard parts, tables, chairs
- Mirrors, suitcases, carpets
- Garden furniture
Please note: Waste from renovations or conversions such as old tiles or sanitary ceramics do not belong in bulky waste. You must dispose of these separately as building rubble.
Wallpaper waste must be disposed of as residual waste.
Procedure
Find out from your local authority which items you are allowed to dispose of as bulky waste.
Tip: Some municipalities and districts have recycling centres or landfill sites. You can deliver bulky waste to them yourself at a favourable price.
The municipalities and districts publish waste calendars. In these you will find the collection dates and further information about bulky waste and other types of waste. In most urban and rural districts, bulky waste is collected on call.
