There are no restrictions on the user group for the use of the online service "Pre-registration of marriage".
Procedure
Using the online service "Pre-registration of marriage", data and documents for the registration of the marriage can be entered in advance and sent to the relevant registry office:
- Once the application has been received, the registry office staff will contact you to discuss the next steps and arrange an appointment to register the marriage in person at the registry office.
- All original documents must be presented at this appointment. The registry office staff will inform you which documents are required in your individual case based on the information you provided in the pre-registration of the marriage.

By pre-registering for the marriage, you have the opportunity to send existing documents, such as proof of identity, proof of citizenship, registration certificates, deeds and other documents, to the registry office in advance without obligation.
